Thoughts about Carmen -Premiere Tonight!

Since today is the premiere of Carmen I really wanted to share some of my toughts of why I wanted to be in it this opera. I can`t hide the fact that especially the last weeks have been tough. But it has all been worth it. And today, well today we will perform it infront of an audience. Wiiiii!

Carmen was my first love to the world of Opera. I was 8 years old, and a watched parts of it in a old danish movie. Songs like “Habanera” and “Toreador” quickly became my favourite songs. Therefor, it`s very special for me to be in a “Carmen”-production.

I`ve seen it on DVD, watched it in The Norwegian Opera & Ballet and listened to the cd`s hundreds of times. To be able to sing the songs with and orchestra etc is AMAZING!

I`m not playing a big part, I`m only in the ensemble, but still. This is magical. The director has worked with Liv Ullman, and all are so good and professional. To be on stage is wonderful. aND i missed it, it has been over a year since a was in La Traviata. 🙂

I`m gonna add some photos and videos after the premiere. Can`t wait to show you all. 🙂
